This river is renowned for its runs of summer steelhead, Chinook salmon, and trout, making it a premier fly fishing destination in the PNW. The river's cool clear water, diverse wildlife, ecology, and endless waters to explore makes this a fly fishing destination you don't want to miss out on. The Rogue River offers opportunities to catch summer steelhead from July-December. Winter steelhead from January-April. In late May-June, the Upper Rogue has one of the best salmonfly hatches in the west offering lots of opportunities to catch big trout and the occasional steelhead on big dry flies.
